- The year 2019- Academic Year – the Home Houses – Middle School – 37 Boys, 29 Girls Total 66 Children
- 32 Higher Secondary Students: 10 Boys and 22 Girls
- Grand Total: 98 Children.
- Average Cost of One Set of Uniform for Middle School
- From 6th to 8th Std: Per Set Boys Rs.450 and Rs. 560 for Girls
- Average Cost Per Set of Uniform for Higher Secondary
- Boys: Rs.550 for Boys and Rs.625 to 675 for Girls.
- From 1st to 5th Std Cost as Per Set Rs.390 for Boys, and Rs.590 for Girls.
- Inmates Are Not Provided With Free Uniforms by the Education Dept. and Higher Secondary Students Have to Make Their Own Arrangements.
- We Seek Contributions to Provide Minimum Two Sets of Uniforms for Our Inmates and Plead Your Cooperation and Support.

Sponsor a Child
We provide all our children, a safe and nurturing environment to stay and study till their 10th grade. We look after all their needs from clothing, food, shelter, education and healthcare.
You can help sponsor a child. We will provide you with a yearly update on how your money has been spent and how the child is doing.
Sponsor Higher Education
After 10th grade we put children through vocational education or college depending on the ability and desire of the child.
You can fund one or more children’s higher education so that they can have the skills needed to earn a living.
Puravalr Deposit (Savings) Scheme
A scheme introduced by Government of Tamilnadu.
Under this scheme the School Management is encouraged and allowed to collect Donations from Individuals , Corporates and philanthropist and the funds are saved under FD. Accrued Annual interest is Drawn to meet the school related and educational expenses of the students.
GANDHI MISSION VIDYALA – AIDED MIDDLE SCHOOL PURAVALR SAVINGS SCHEME
- Donors can offer a minimum of Rs.1000 (or) in multiples of Rs.1000 (This is something like Life Membership)
- The same is being saved under FD – as a Corpus Fund and the interest earned is used for meeting out school expenses such as stationery, utilities, and Children’s education. Names of the donors are Listed and painted on the Notice board of the Ashram. Payments can be made by way of a Cheque payable to, Secretary, Gandhi Mission Vidyalaya, Walajapet.
Sponsor Infrastructure
We are 70 years old and a lot of our infrastructure needs to be fortified or in some cases rebuilt. Also we are adding some more buildings as well as other infrastructure like sanitation, wells etc., to enable education to be continued till the 10th grade. You can provide funds to build in part or whole infrastructure that will keep children safe and healthy.
