Ashram
Deena Bandhu Ashram is an Orphanage catering to 130 children currently. These numbers were more in the previous years. It is heartening to note the number of Orphans is reducing and many, kind people are taking care of them. Deena Bandhu Ashram houses children of both sex and offers them Good Care, Nutritious Food, Education and Shelter totally free of cost.
Elementary School
Gandhi Mission Vidyalaya is an aided Elementary school, started in 1956 as an affiliate institution. In 1972 it became an aided Middle School offering education up to the eighth standard. We are in the process of ensuring that the school is well equipped and permissions are being sought to have the school till grade XII. The school currently has 230 children and has classes operational till grade eighth. Children from the Ashram and neighborhood attend the school.
Higher Secondary Education
While the school is only till grade eight it is ensured that children who want to pursue higher education from the ashram receive adequate support to do so. Currently 44 children from the Ashram go to government higher secondary schools and colleges nearby.
Vocational Courses
Currently, our children are being trained to create craft work and in organic farming. We would like to develop this wing so that the children acquire skills while ensuring that they have a joyful childhood.
Since we started in 1952, over 9000 children have lived and studied here and benefited.
